Validator

Running a validator is a lot of responsibility!

Responsibility towards Nominators
Validator will be accountable for not only its own stake, but also the stake of its current nominators. Any instances of non-compliance with the consensus algorithms result in punishment by removal of some of the validator’s staked CAPS.
Responsibility towards the network
Verifying that the information contained in an assigned set of parachain blocks is valid.
Participating in the consensus mechanism to produce the blocks based on validity statements from other validators.

Infrastructure

We have invested in three servers to guarantee high availability.

High avaibility
To ensure high availability, the two validator servers are distributed in two independent data centers. When a validator server goes down or during a maintenance shutdown, the switch to the backup environment takes place in 10 minutes without equivocation risk. In case of failure of the two data centers the third server located elsewhere can be activated at any time.
Server configuration
To allow the operation of two validators on a single server in the event of failure of one of the servers, we have oversized the configuration of these servers.
Monitoring
One of the essential aspect of high availability is also to have high availability of infrastructure monitoring. We have two monitoring servers active simultaneously. Our infrastructure is monitored 24/7.
Security
Servers benefit from data center Anti-DDoS protection and a set of best practices to ensure the security of our servers.

Nominators

We have two Ternoa validators.

Advice
Our validators are not permanently active. We remind you that you can designate several validators. It is strongly recommended that you do this to maximize your chances of still being with an active validator.
Thank you in advance for your nominations!
